Partisans identify key russian plant linked to aircraft engine production in St. Petersburg

Agents of the Atesh partisan movement successfully conducted reconnaissance of the facilities of the JSC UEC-Klimov enterprise. The results were reported on the movement's Telegram channel. It is known that UEC-Klimov is located in the city of Saint Petersburg.

The JSC UEC-Klimov is a strategically important enterprise for the russian army. The facility manufactures and repairs gas turbine engines and gearboxes for MiG-29 and MiG-35 fighter jets, as well as for Mi-8, Mi-17, Ka-27, and Ka-52 helicopters.

According to publicly available sources, The company, founded in 1914, specializes in the development, serial production, and maintenance of gas turbine and jet engines for civil and military aviation.

As a result of russia's invasion of Ukraine, the company is under sanctions imposed by multiple countries, including the United States, the European Union, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, Australia, and New Zealand.

The Atesh movement claims that the plant and its production facilities were thoroughly examined, and the gathered information was promptly forwarded to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This information will help deal a serious blow to the russian forces' ability to conduct combat operations in the air.

Earlier Defense Express reported that russian occupiers had removed key equipment from military unit in Sevastopol. We also wrote that the Atesh movement partisans had exposed Eleron-3 UAV transfers to russian troops in southern Ukraine.
