Operators of the 412th NEMESIS Regiment successfully tracked and ambushed russian MSTA-S self-propelled howitzer, preventing another wave of artillery fire against Ukrainian positions. Despite the enemy crew’s desperate attempt to escape, Ukrainian bombers intercepted and neutralized the vehicle. The crew abandoned the howitzer, sustaining shrapnel wounds and concussions in the process.
The MSTA-S, a powerful 152 mm artillery system, poses a significant threat on the battlefield. Its shells create craters up to six meters wide and 2.5 meters deep, capable of demolishing fortifications, leveling buildings, and striking armored targets from nearly 29 kilometers away. With an estimated cost of $5.6 million per unit, every destroyed system represents a substantial financial and strategic loss for russia.
