The commander of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine surface drone unit told a number of details about how the operation to destroy russian ships is going on

The Defense Forces of Ukraine have been using surface unmanned kamikaze drones to attack russian Black Sea Fleet ships for years. They have already caused serious losses to russian Navy. Some details about the work of the Magura drones were provided by commander of unit of Ukraine's Intelligence with the Thirteenth call sign. He was interviewed by the Krapivnyy YouTube channel.

"We are constantly monitoring the targets and choose the most accessible ones. There is one the easiest target out of the conditional three, so we are working on it," says Thirteen.

Surface target operators also monitor second- or third-priority targets to be able to switch to them at any time.

"Why? Because the situation at the sea is changing very quickly, the enemy is very strong, smart and technologically advanced. That is why we have to respond very quickly to the challenges we receive," the commander says.

He notes that there have been cases when operators have returned drones because they could not hunt anything. These drones undergo certain routine maintenance and are ready for further operation.

Ukrainian warrior says that the first priority is to hit "somewhere". He explains that the first step is to hit russian ship, and then the operators work according to algorithms and aim at the best places to hit.

"It does not matter where to make the first hit, because it creates certain problems for the enemy. It is not going the way it wanted to go, and russisns need to start fighting for the ship's survival, because there is a problem," Thirteen explains. After the first hit, other drones reach to the ship like a flock.

The warrior also says that each operator performs his mission depending according to flank he was on during the attack.

"When you start a mission and when you reach the target, you do not know who and in what position will be. It is because it is very difficult to control the situation on water. The enemy is not sleeping either, and is trying to destroy us on the approaches, so the pilots start to make certain maneuvers," the commander says.

Earlier Defense Express reported the real reason why russia had relocated missile-carrying submarines to Crimea.
