Ukrainian drone operator has hit an expensive russian Merlin-VR drone with an anti-aircraft drone

The video was published by the Come Back Alive foundation.

The operator reportedly attempted to ram the enemy Merlin drone after the FPV interceptor failed to detonate. After being hit by a Ukrainian UAV, the russian drone began to fall and crashed into a tree.

The cost of the destroyed drone is $300,000.

russian Merlin-VR drone is designed for terrain reconnaissance in both automatic and semi-automatic modes. It is one of the largest drones in the russian Armed Forces, with a wingspan of approximately 5 meters.

According to russians, the Merlin-VR can fly for up to 10 hours, reach an altitude of 5 kilometers and cover a distance of up to 600 kilometers. The UAV is equipped with an optical surveillance system weighing up to 6.5 kilograms. The camera operates in both the visible and infrared spectra, with a range of up to 30 kilometers, allowing the UAV to gather intelligence and direct artillery fire.

Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukrainian Forces had shattered russian supply lines near Svatove, destroyed river crossing and multiple vehicles.
