Ukrainian Drone.ZP company has introduced a groundbreaking turret designed to counter enemy drones, including fast and agile FPV models. Tested by the 15th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the turret showcases advanced features aimed at enhancing battlefield efficiency.
The turret is armed with the 12.7 mm machine gun, capable of engaging long-distance targets, and a night vision device, ensuring 24/7 operational capability. At the core of this innovation is a neural network system that enables precise semi-autonomous control. The operators manage the turret via a joystick and monitor, aided by an intuitive interface that minimizes training time and ensures quick adaptation to combat scenarios.

While the turret is stationary, it can be mounted on a trailer for easy transport to various locations. Additionally, Drone.ZP is developing mobile ground platforms to integrate with these turrets, which could also assist in evacuating the wounded or transporting equipment in active combat zones.
Experts have lauded the system’s potential. When paired with other Ukrainian-developed unmanned technologies, this turret could play a pivotal role in countering modern aerial threats. As one observer noted, ground robotic systems are increasingly critical for missions such as supply delivery, route clearing, and neutralizing enemy fortifications.
