Last night, September 17, a coordinated operation by the Security Service of Ukraine, Defense Intelligence and Special Operations Forces delivered a severe blow to a large russian missile and artillery depot in Toropets, Tver region. The strike, carried out by Ukrainian-made kamikaze drones, targeted an arsenal containing advanced weaponry, including North Korean KN23 ballistic missiles, the Grad rockets and Iskander ballistic missiles.
According to sources from the Security Service of Ukraine and Defense Intelligence, over 100 drones were involved in the operation, hitting the depot located approximately 500 kilometers from Ukraine’s border. The attack caused multiple explosions, setting off a chain reaction that led to the destruction of significant stockpiles of munitions.

The impact of the strike forced the partial evacuation of Toropets’ residents, as the detonation of ammunition created hazardous conditions. Ukrainian officials emphasized that this is part of a broader effort to dismantle russia’s military infrastructure, promising that such operations would continue to safeguard Ukrainian territory and civilians.
The full extent of the damage is still being assessed. However, this strike highlights the growing effectiveness of Ukraine’s drone warfare capabilities against key russian military assets.
