The Ukrainian Defense Ministry to purchase the Neptune anti-ship missile system in 2020, the ministry's press service has reported.
"No funds were envisaged in 2020 for the purchase of the Neptune anti-ship missile system. However, the Defense Ministry has made the decision to purchase the Neptune system and other missile equipment even this year, 2020," the report reads.

According to the report, for this purpose, the funds will be redistributed within the state defense order.
The press service added that on August 23, Defense Minister Andriy Taran signed an order to accept the Neptune anti-ship missile system into service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
