The engagement occurred near the village of Kruhliakivka, where russian forces attempted to exploit limited visibility caused by morning fog to penetrate Ukrainian defensive lines.

Key results of the engagement included the destruction of two MT-LBs, one infantry fighting vehicle, and the elimination of several enemy personnel. Specifically, five russian soldiers were killed, and one was wounded during the operation.
