Key russian logistical and operational websites hacked, compromising military supply chains and personnel data

In a recent cyber operation conducted by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, several key russian online resources were successfully targeted, disrupting logistical and operational functions supporting the russian military. According to a military intelligence source in Suspilne, the operation yielded valuable data and compromised multiple websites used by the russian defense apparatus.

Among the hacked platforms was okrug.ru, a site critical to supplying military equipment and uniforms to the russian Aerospace Forces, Ground Forces, and Navy. The breach provided Ukrainian cyber specialists with sensitive information on russia’s military supply chain.

Additionally, vashhotel.ru, a site used by russian military personnel to book accommodations, was infiltrated, exposing user data, including that of military personnel. Another target, Gostpatent.ru, a database of registered patents, was also compromised. This site may hold information of interest to military intelligence, possibly including defense-related technologies.

As a symbolic gesture, hackers displayed an image of an owl defeating an aggressor on the attacked websites, reinforcing the operation’s success against russian war effort.
