"We must realize that front line is very agile and under pressure of enemy units. We know that there are many more of them on the left bank. They are better fortified as well as have an appropriate rear background to support them while our forces have the Dnipro river behind them," noted Humeniuk.
Reports, that Ukrainian marines began crossing the Dnipro near the village of Krynky, began to appear in mid-October 2023. About a month later, the Ukrainian command confessed the presence of a small bridgehead on shores of Kherson.
