The Valday radar is one of russia's newest counter-drone technologies, reportedly intended to strengthen the Kremlin's defenses against Ukraine's expanding UAV fleet. Its destruction represents not only a tactical loss but also a symbolic blow to Moscow's attempts to secure the, porarily occupied Crimea through technological superiority.
"The masters of the Unmanned Systems Directorate tracked down and precisely struck the expensive, well-hidden russian radar system," Ukrainian intelligence reported. The emphasis on precision highlights the growing professionalism and technical sophistication of Ukraine's unmanned warfare operators.
These strikes systematically erode the enemy's ability to detect, track, and respond to Ukrainian drone operations, paving the way for deeper, more frequent incursions.
“Demilitarization of Crimea continues. The armed struggle goes on," the Defense Intelligence concluded.
