Both Russian pilots managed to eject. One of them -- major Krasnoyartsev of the Russian Air and Space Forces -- has been captured. Krasnoyartsev is responsible for bombings in Syria. The photo below shows him standing alongside Vladimir Putin and Bashar Assad in Syria.

His co-pilot, identified as major Krivolapov, was less fortunate. Like Krasnoyartsev, Krivolapov had a history of combat operations in Syria.
