The French company Europlasma has announced that its subsidiary, Les Forges de Tarbes, has entered into a cooperation agreement with the state-owned company "Ukrainian Defense Industry."
This agreement involves the supply of 420,000 hulls for the manufacture of 155-mm artillery shells, starting in 2024, as reported by the French portal OptionFinance.

It is noted that this agreement has a duration of 3 years. It can be extended depending on how the French government extends the export license for Europlasma.
It is anticipated that the production rate of 155mm hulls for Ukraine will begin at 60,000 units per year in 2024 and increase to 120,000 units by 2026. Europlasma plans to expand its manufacturing capacity by 2025 to be capable of producing up to 160,000 hulls per year.
Defense Express hopes that the contract described above is not the only one involving the supply of essential elements for hulls production to Ukraine. However, it is the only contract that has become publicly known at this moment.
