Operators of the 115th Brigade have struck and destroyed russian Mi-28NM attack helicopter with an FPV interceptor drone

Ukrainian air defense personnel from the 115th Brigade have destroyed russian Mi-28NM attack helicopter using an FPV drone. The strike was documented in a video published on Wednesday, October 14.

According to the published statement, the helicopter was intercepted and hit by operators of the brigade's Prybultsi Battalion, which uses FPV drones to counter aerial threats.

The Ukrainian military described the drone as an air defense FPV interceptor. The statement did not specify the exact location of the interception or the circumstances under which the helicopter was flying.

The destroyed aircraft was identified as the Mi-28NM, an advanced modernized version of the Mi-28 attack helicopter developed for the russian military. The platform is designed to engage ground targets, including armored vehicles and other battlefield assets, and can operate in support of russian ground forces.

The helicopter is estimated to cost approximately $18 million to $20 million. This makes the reported interception a potentially significant loss for russian forces, particularly given the relatively inexpensive technology used to carry it out.
