Ukrainian forces have revealed details of a long-concealed operation that underscores their innovative approach to countering enemy technology. Crews from the Achilles 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment and the 43rd Artillery Brigade executed a precision strike, successfully detecting and destroying two russian Pantsir self-propelled surface-to-air systems.
The operation, which was kept under wraps until now, highlights the pivotal role played by unmanned systems in this war. The drones, crucial in both reconnaissance and offensive roles, provided real-time intelligence that led to the accurate targeting and elimination of these high-value enemy systems. Each Pantsir system is estimated to cost approximately $14 million, emphasizing the strategic significance of the strike in depleting critical assets from the adversary’s arsenal.
