The warriors of the 73rd Naval Center of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully thwarted an attack by North Korean military forces on a position held by Ukrainian forces in russia’s Kursk region.
During the assault, Ukrainian SOF operators skillfully deployed the MK-19 automatic grenade launcher to suppress the attackers and executed precision strikes using combat drones. The countermeasures resulted in the elimination of 12 North Korean soldiers and injuries to 20 others, forcing the enemy to retreat.

In addition to their combat success, the SOF operators demonstrated exemplary camaraderie by providing immediate medical aid to wounded infantryman from a friendly unit. They then evacuated the injured soldier to safety, ensuring his survival.
