In a recent operation in the Kharkiv region, Ukraine's 3rd Separate Assault Brigade has demonstrated the growing lethality and precision of FPV drone warfare. According to an official report shared on the Brigade's social media page, operators from the unit's drone systems battalion successfully destroyed multiple pieces of russian military equipment and inflicted personnel losses on enemy forces.
Ukrainian forces specifically targeted and destroyed a range of high-value assets. Among the eliminated vehicles was russian Nona self-propelled artillery system, tank, anti-aircraft gun, communication antennas, and several military trucks. These successful strikes indicate both careful reconnaissance and skilled piloting by the drone operators.

The destruction of the Nona artillery piece was prominently highlighted in the Brigade's statement, which proclaimed, "The final stop for the Nona system and the occupiers in Kharkiv!"
Perhaps most notably, Ukrainian troops managed to locate and strike russian drone team that was attempting to hide in cover. Such a hit underscores the capability of Ukrainian units not only to disrupt enemy logistics and firepower but also to strike the command and control elements behind the front lines.
The use of FPV drones has transformed how engagements unfold on the battlefield. These cost-effective, maneuverable, and deadly tools allow Ukrainian forces to strike precisely with minimal risk to personnel. As the war becomes increasingly defined by asymmetric tactics and high-tech improvisation, the 3rd Brigade's success showcases how smaller, agile systems can outperform more traditional firepower.
As Defense Express previously reported, the Phoenix drone unit of the Pomsta Brigade delivered a series of devastating precision strikes on russian military equipment, including tanks, one TOS-1A flamethrower system, and electronic warfare systems on the Kupiansk axis.
