In 2021, the ministry will also continue the corporatization of Ukroboronprom's enterprises. State-owned enterprises of strategic industries will be divided by areas of activity and grouped into two state-owned holding companies: Defense Systems of Ukraine and Aerospace Systems of Ukraine.

In addition, a Defense Technology Agency, similar to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency of the U.S. Department of Defense, is to be set up in Ukraine in 2021. The agency's task will be to implement scientific and technical developments and new technologies to create modern types of competitive weapons and military equipment.

The Ministry for Strategic Industries also aims to ensure a significant increase in revenues to the state budget from the export activities of enterprises of the Ukrainian defense industry.
