This was emphasized by the German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, during an online meeting of the defense contact group for Ukraine on January 23.
The minister announced further increases in assistance to Ukraine. He emphasized the importance of strengthening Ukraine's military potential, as reported on the website of the German Ministry of Defense.

Additionally, Pistorius announced the allocation of a new package.
What is included:
The list of aid includes air defense systems, tanks, armored vehicles and ammunition.
- IRIS-T SLM air defense systems;
- Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns;
- more than 80 Leopard 1A5 tanks;
- additional artillery systems with more than 230,000 rounds of ammunition;
- armored personnel carriers;
- armored engineering vehicles;
- bridge-laying tanks;
- 450 protected vehicles;
- mine clearing systems;
- drones;
- radar systems;
- reconnaissance systems.
Additionally, Berlin plans to train 10 thousand Ukrainian military personnel this year.
