Ukrainian mobile firing groups, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, as well as electronic warfare assets were deployed to repel the attack.

russian drones were shot down in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Kherson, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Rivne, and Cherkasy regions.

"Regarding russian strikes with North Korean missiles, I will say the following: despite the fact that the KN-23 ballistic missiles rarely reach their targets, they pose a serious threat to the population. Take care of yourself and your families," Oleshchuk added.

It also became known that a man and his four-year-old son were killed and three people were seriously injured in the attack on Kyiv Oblast.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, also reacted to the attack, saying that Ukraine needs additional means to effectively defend itself against enemy ballistic weapons, including anti-aircraft systems and the lifting of restrictions on strikes on russia's territory.

As Defense Express, we note that after a pause of 5 months, the russian federation has resumed and is gradually increasing the use of KN-23 ballistic missiles to strike Ukraine.

The first episode of the use of these missiles after a long pause took place on July 31, when the KN-23 missile failed to reach its target.

The next episode of the usage of these missiles took place on August 6 this year, when one of the North Korean KN-23 missiles exploded in midair near Brovary.

It can be assumed that the enemy could have used this 5-month pause to refine the KN-23 or to develop new tactics for using this weapon to strike Ukraine.

Earlier Defense Express reported russians had demonstrated 122mm D-30 towed howitzer on MTS-15 tracked robotic chassis.
