Russia continues its "covert mobilization", which is becoming more and more bizarre.
Defense Express has learned from its own sources that the command of the Black Sea Fleet of russian Navy is offering to join the units of the new battalion tactical group voluntarily. It is created to rotate the ground units of the Southern Military District of the russian federation, which suffer losses in battles against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This indicates that the enemy has finally exhausted reserves to quickly replenish losses in the units. The last time russia used sailors to fight on land was during World War II, including when it had to disband the crews of destroyed or blocked warships.
On the 47th day of the invasion, we can already say that the russian Navy shamefully passed this war against Ukraine, and was unable to adequately dispose of the available forces. The only task that the occupiers were able to fully accomplish was to capture Zmiinyi Island (aka Serpent or Snake Island), where they had to concentrate literally a squall of superiority in the means of destruction.
The naval blockade of the ports of Odessa and Mykolayiv is being maintained so far only because no one opposes russian ships at sea yet. At the same time, there is information in open sources that the seaports in the south of Odessa region, adjacent to the mouth of the Danube and the Black Sea - continue to operate.
The occupiers failed to provoke with "drift mines", which were allegedly planted by the Ukrainian Navy. The russians have not been able to implement their plan to land the marines near Odessa. They are unlikely to be able to, because almost all parts of the marines of the russian navy have been disposed of in battles against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Due to the effective strike on the harbor of Berdyansk, the enemy "Saratov" Alligator-class landing ship was destroyed, two more landing ships were damaged. There were reports that Ukrainian coastal defense damaged the frigate of the russian Black Sea Fleet "Admiral Essen" and possibly even drowned the patrol corvette "Vasily Bykov".
And no less revealing detail - to strike Kalibr missiles on the territory of Ukraine, russians do not go beyond the waters of occupied Sevastopol. Perhaps they are hiding so tightly under the "air defense umbrella", and maybe there is not enough fuel for frequent exits to the sea.
It seems that against this background, the Kremlin has decided that the navy is now a completely unnecessary kind of troops, and sailors can be easily thrown into the hell of land battles.
