Despite these concealment efforts in border settlements on russian territory, intelligence teams of the Steel Border unit successfully identified multiple such UAV launch positions. Once located, Ukrainian forces carried out precise FPV drone strikes that destroyed the launch sites, associated equipment, and, likely, enemy personnel.
As previously reported by Defense Express, a Ukrainian Air Force Su-27 fighter jet successfully engaged and destroyed a russian air defense system. The aircraft launched an AGM-88 HARM (High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile) during the mission.
In another notable development, a powerful explosion struck a section of railway in the early hours of May 31, 2025, near the temporarily occupied town of Yakymivka in the Melitopol district, Zaporizhzhia region.
The target was a russian military train traveling toward Crimea. The strike caused extensive damage to critical infrastructure and disrupted logistics along one of the enemy’s key supply corridors.
