The Government of Japan has provided Ukraine with two more Nikken mechanized demining machines, supporting the State Emergency Services Ukraine. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko expressed gratitude to Japan for their critical assistance during these challenging times. He thanked the Government and Embassy of Japan, along with the Japan International Cooperation Agency, for their support.

Japan’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Matsuda Kuninori, praised the dedication of Ukrainian pyrotechnicians and sappers who work tirelessly to clear explosive devices. The new demining machines will be sent to Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions to aid in ongoing demining efforts, ensuring the safety of residents and supporting recovery efforts.
