A regular update on the situation in the eastern frontlines from the JFO and Operational-tactical Group "East"

Joint Task Force operating in the Ukrainian Eastern Operational Zone, the so-called Donbas, has published a regular report on the situation in its area of responsibility.

On May XX, the Ukrainian forces of this unit repelled 9 russian attacks. In four more locations, the fighting is still going on.

Russian casualties today are estimated at:

  • two tanks;
  • 13 artillery systems;
  • eight armored fighting vehicles (+ 1 more destroyed by the Operational-tactical group “East”); and
  • six non-armored vehicles.

Russian military use combat aircraft along the entire line of defense, as well as MLRS, large-caliber barrel artillery, tanks, various mortars, and carries out missile and bomb strikes on civilian infrastructure and peaceful residential areas. More than 20 settlements were shelled in the two eastern regions only – the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
