russia has introduced North Korean mercenaries into its military structure, but not in direct combat roles in Kursk region. Instead, these fighters have been positioned in the second echelon, primarily tasked with support and security operations, National Resistance Center of Ukraine reports.
Subordinated to the 11th Airborne Assault Brigade, the mercenaries are responsible for manning observation posts and checkpoints, as well as guarding areas where russian forces are concentrated. This strategic positioning allows russian commanders to redeploy their regular troops to the frontline, intensifying their offensive efforts.
