An analysis of ammunition and other military assets revealed that some items were classified as “excess” and unnecessary for the Bulgarian army. These assets are slated to be offered to Ukraine as part of an aid package. The announcement was made by Bulgaria’s acting Minister of Defense, Atanas Zapryanov, as reported by BNR.

Atanas Zapryanov explained that this aid package will be provided to Ukraine under an agreement with an allied country, ensuring compensation similar to a previous package for which Bulgaria received approximately 30 million euros.
