For the second night in a row, naval drones attack russian military ships, this time near the Crimean Bridge

Around midnight on August 5th, several Ukrainian media reported explosions witnessed by local residents of the Crimean Peninsula, currently occupied by russian forces.

According to the TSN.ua, at least one drone managed to reach and hit a tanker ship. There are also unconfirmed intercepted radio talks suggesting that the tanker labeled SIG was damaged to the point it cannot move on its own, and a rescue vessel is helping it to reach the port.

Local authorities have split opinions in their reports. A russian-appointed administrative clerk Vladimir Rogov says a fire broke out near the bridge, and there is fighting against sea drones, blaming that Ukraine is behind the attack. The traffic on the Crimean Bridge was also suspended, the lights were turned off for the sake of disguise.

Earlier Defense Express reported a Ukrainian maritime drone hit a landing ship stationed at a russian naval base in Novorossiysk, to the south of Crimea overnight on August 4th. There had also been explosions heard in Feodosiia, Crimea, the same night.

According to a Ukrainian representative of the Operative Command "South", Nataliia Humeniuk, there is an oil depot located in Feodosiia which is important to the russian supplies. The official said it's "inevitable" that more explosions will occur in those places in the future, adding that russians, on their part, are expected to increase their defenses in the area.
