The Ukroboronprom State Concern jointly with NATO member set the production of 122-mm projectiles and delivered the first batch to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It’s the third type of ammunition (after 120-mm mines and 125-mm tank shells) that is being developed by Ukrainian specialists based on Ukrainian technologies and produced abroad.

The 122-mm projectiles are used with the D-30 (firing range – 15.4 km) and the 2S1 Gvozdika howitzers (firing range – 15.2 km) by Ukrainian artillery.
Moreover, the projectiles has successfully passed factory testing: the strength of body when fired, the resistance of equipment, the firing range, the accuracy of fire, the completeness of burst.

Furthermore, the fragments number characteristic in these shells is way better than in the Soviet variants.
