The explosions occurred on the territory of russia 115 km from the border with Ukraine

Residents of the Kursk region in the russian federation were restless on the night of December 25 - local residents complained about loud explosions that could be heard in the vicinity of one of the russian airfields.

Not much is known about this incident yet - however, a video from cameras is circulating on the Internet, on which the sound of an explosion can be clearly heard, some "visual" effects have not yet been captured on the video.

According to Russian social networks, several explosions were heard in the area of the "Khalino" airfield, which the occupiers have been using since February 24 to base their fighter jets.

At the same time, the occupiers are actively spreading the version about " work of air defense means", and some say that the sounds of explosions are an ordinary thunderstorm.

By the way, the distance from the airport "Khalino" to the border with Ukraine is about 115 km, to the city of Sumy - more than 150 km. This is closer than the airfields in Ryazan and Engels, which were attacked on December 5 of this year.

Shortly after the event on December 5, several Western publications, in particular the Financial Times and Politico, with reference to their own sources, reported that modified Tu-141 Strizh UAVs were used for long-range strikes on the Engels and Dyaghilev airfields that resulted into at least one Tu-95 destruction.
