Poor manufacturing standards create more risks than advantages for russian troops

russian forces have been utilizing weapons and ammunition supplied by North Korea. However, their effectiveness is highly questionable due to numerous technical flaws, according to Volodymyr Cherniak, an officer of the Rubizh 4th Rapid Reaction Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Cherniak revealed that the ammunition, while recently produced in North Korean factories, fails to meet modern quality standards. A critical issue lies in the defective propellant charges, which can lead to dangerous malfunctions.

“North Korean ammunition currently used by russia is of low quality, especially in terms of the propellant charges and components. We have observed cases where shells exploded inside the barrel due to manufacturing defects. Such incidents have already occurred with Soviet-era D-30 howitzers. If these defects recur with North Korean self-propelled artillery systems, it will only benefit us,” Volodymyr Cherniak, noted.
