The government of Cyprus has contracted Airbus to supply six H145M multi-role helicopters to the National Guard of Cyprus. H145M helicopters will replace russian-made Mi-35 attack helicopters, the Defense Brief portal reports.
The parliament of Cyprus has already allocated the first 53 million euros for the supply of helicopters, a total of 140 million euros is planned.

The authors of the portal say that Cyprus currently has 11 Mi-35 helicopters, which were removed from service by the National Guard in late 2021.
According to current data, these Mi-35 Cyprus plans to sell to Serbia. But here it is worth noting that the official Cyprus planned to sell their Mi-35 to Serbia at the end of 2021, but during all this time the business has not moved.
