On the night of Friday, July 24, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out another effective long-range strike on one of the enterprises of the russian military-industrial complex. The FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile successfully attacked the "Vyatka Machine-Building Enterprise "Avitek" Joint Stock Company in the city of Kirov, more than 1,200 km from Ukraine.
The impact is confirmed by footage from city residents filming a large-scale fire in one of the company's buildings.

In turn, the use of the FP-5 Flamingo was confirmed by the general designer of the Fire Point company Denis Shtilerman, who released a video of the launch of the Ukrainian cruise missile.
It should be noted that "Vyatka Machine-Building Enterprise "Avitek" JSC occupies a fairly large area (about 60 hectares) and has more than dozens of separate large buildings. Which of the plant's workshops was hit by at least one missile will become known after the appearance of a video directly from the plant's territory, or after the release of satellite images.
Preliminary, we may be talking about one of the largest buildings of the plant. The consequences of such a hit are quite predictable, given the recent blow to the Titan-Barrikady plant in Volgograd.
It should be noted that the blow to the russian Avitek plant is a simultaneous blow to the production of two types of weapons. The main products of this enterprise are anti-aircraft missiles as well as components for the Tor surface-to-air system.
It is also important that "Vyatka Machine-Building Enterprise "Avitek" JSC is part of the russian Almaz-Antey Corporation - a key developer and manufacturer of all major russian air defense systems, which means that this enterprise is likely to be closely involved in other projects.
In addition, according to the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, this enterprise is involved in cooperation in the production of cruise missiles and produces 526M starting gas generators, which are necessary for launching the TRDD-50 and R95 turbojet engines, which are used in all major russian cruise missiles like Kh-101 air-launched cruise missile (NATO reporting name: AS-23 "Kodiak"), Kalibr family of cruise missiles (NATO reporting name SS-N-27 Sizzler and SS-N-30A), R-500 cruise missiles for the Iskander short-range ballistic missile systems, as well as Kh-59 Ovod air-launched cruise missiles (NATO reporting name:AS-13 "Kingbolt").
In addition, this enterprise is involved in the production and repair of K-36 ejection seats, which are installed in various versions on all russian tactical aircraft, Tu-22M long-range bombers as well as on Tu-160 strategic missile bombers, as wel as on the Su-57 multi-role fighters.
