Ukraine's Omega Special Purpose Center has destroyed russian Su-24M frontline bomber at the Saky military air base in Crimea.
The operation was announced on July 16 by National Guard Commander Oleksandr Pivnenko, who released video footage of the strike through his official Telegram channel. According to the commander, the aircraft was identified, tracked, and engaged after careful operational planning.

Oleksandr Pivnenko said the attack was carried out just as the Su-24M aircraft was preparing for a combat sortie intended to launch another strike against Ukraine. Strike drones operated by the Omega unit hit the aircraft in two successive attacks, preventing it from taking off.
According to the National Guard, the first drone struck the bomber's nose section, while a second drone hit the area around the fuel tanks. The combined impact destroyed the aircraft on the ground.
The Su-24M is a supersonic tactical bomber capable of carrying a wide range of guided and unguided munitions, including cruise missiles and precision air-to-ground weapons. Aircraft of this type have been used extensively by russia throughout the full-scale invasion to conduct strikes against Ukrainian military positions and critical infrastructure.
