The operation began with Ukrainian UAVs conducting reconnaissance to locate russian equipment and identify targets suitable for engagement. The detected assets included both air defense equipment and artillery systems.
Among the most valuable targets was russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system. The system is designed to engage aircraft, cruise missiles, and other aerial targets, making its destruction particularly relevant to Ukraine's efforts to operate UAVs and other assets in contested airspace.
The operators also identified and struck russian radar station. Such systems provide surveillance and target-detection capabilities and can support the operation of air defense units by detecting and tracking aerial objects.
Another target was the 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer. The Soviet-designed 2S3 is a 152 mm artillery system used by russian forces for indirect fire against Ukrainian positions and other targets.
The strike package also included russian armored combat vehicle. The General Staff did not specify the exact type of vehicle or provide an assessment of the damage inflicted on each target.
