Ukrainian forces have destroyed russian Tor surface-to-air missile system in Luhansk region using the Hornet kamikaze drone. The strike was carried out by operators of the 4th Separate Detachment of the Omega Special Purpose Center of Ukraine's National Guard.
The Omega Special Purpose Center released footage of the operation, showing the drone accurately striking the air defense system at its firing position. According to the unit, the targeted Tor system is valued at approximately $25 million.

The Tor is a short-range surface-to-air missile system designed to protect military formations from aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, guided munitions, and drones.
It forms an important part of russia's layered air defense network and is frequently deployed close to the front to shield troops and key equipment from aerial threats.
The attack was carried out using the Hornet fixed-wing kamikaze drone, which was guided directly into the target. According to the unit, the Hornet drone costs roughly 5,000 times less than the Tor system it destroyed, illustrating how relatively inexpensive unmanned platforms can inflict disproportionate financial and operational losses on a technologically advanced adversary.
