Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces continue to strike russian vessels. After securing the waters of the Sea of Azov, they have now shifted their focus to the Black Sea.
During the latest attacks on the night of July 17, long-range drones successfully struck another nine cargo ships, one tanker, one gas carrier, and one tugboat.

Earlier, on July 16, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces successfully attacked five tankers, one gas carrier, three cargo ships, and two tugboats. The total number now stands at 159 vessels over 12 days, 42 of which were in the Black Sea.
At the same time, a new video showing the attack on russian ships reveals a detail that could point to a significant upgrade to the Ukrainian FP-1 and/or FP-2 drones, developed by Fire Point and used in these missions. This upgrade directly enhances their effectiveness.
In particular, some of the footage shows an interface in which the operator selects a specific section of the target, after which the guidance algorithm takes over.


It remains unclear whether Fire Point drones equipped with a similar system had been used before, as previous videos did not show such interface markers.

It should be noted that the target-tracking system addresses two problems at once. First, it reduces the outcome's dependence on the operator's skill. Second, if the signal is lost, the drone can still reach its designated target.
