Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces launched coordinated drone strikes against 19 electrical substations and energy hubs

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have launched another large-scale campaign against energy infrastructure supporting russian military operations, striking 19 power substations and electrical hubs across temporarily occupied Crimea and other territories.

The operation was announced by Major Robert Madyar Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, who also released combat footage documenting the strikes. According to Robert Brovdi, the attacks form part of a broader effort to degrade infrastructure that supports russian military logistics and command activities in temporarily occupied regions.

Most of the targets were located in occupied Crimea, where Ukrainian drone operators struck 110 kV and 220 kV substations in Luchyste, Morske, Pryvitne, Yalta, Kerch, Staryi Krym, Ponyzivka, Sudak, Shchebetivka, Yedy-Kuyu, and Zelenyi Yar. Several key energy facilities were specifically identified, including the Darsan substation in Yalta, Solyana in Kerch, Azovska in Staryi Krym, Kapsel in Sudak, and Koktebel in Shchebetivka.

Additional strikes targeted electrical infrastructure across occupied parts of Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Ukrainian forces reported attacks on substations near Shyroke, Zemlianky, Bezhynove, Bila Hora, Denezhnykove, Makiivka, and Hanivka, expanding the campaign beyond Crimea.

The operation involved several of Ukraine's leading drone formationsю According to Robert Brovdi, Ukrainian drone units successfully struck 104 substations and electrical hubs between July 1 and July 20 alone. The latest wave of attacks represents part of a sustained campaign aimed at disrupting infrastructure that supports russian military deployments rather than isolated tactical strikes.
