Operators of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a series of maritime strikes during the night of July 7, targeting russian fuel logistics in the Sea of Azov. The operation damaged eight tankers associated with russia's shadow fleet, along with a cargo vessel and a ferry supporting military transport.
The strikes were conducted by the Kairos unit. The drones successfully hit eight tankers transporting fuel to temporarily occupied Crimea, continuing Kyiv's efforts to disrupt russian supply lines beyond the battlefield.

According to the Unmanned Systems Forces, all of the targeted tankers have been identified and are subject to international sanctions. The vessels reportedly have a deadweight of approximately 7,000 tons, measure around 140 meters in length, and were built between 2006 and 2012.
While Ukrainian authorities did not disclose the extent of the damage, the selection of targets suggests an emphasis on vessels considered important to russia's wartime logistics.
The operation extended beyond fuel tankers. Operators of the Rarog 427th Brigade reportedly struck a cargo ship operating in the Sea of Azov, while personnel from the 1st Separate Center targeted a ferry in the waters off temporarily occupied Crimea. Both vessels are believed to play roles in sustaining russian transportation and supply networks in the region.
