Ukrainian drone operators from the 28th Brigade have destroyed a rare russian launch vehicle used to deploy Shahed-series attack drones near the Donetsk Airport.
The brigade released footage of the strike and described the target as one of the rarest they have encountered. According to the unit, the vehicle had been adapted to function as a mobile launch platform for Shahed-type loitering munitions operating in the Donetsk sector.

"Today's rare target is a vehicle used as a launch platform for Shahed drones. At the Donetsk Airport. For the first time," the brigade said in a statement accompanying the video. The military emphasized that locating and striking such systems is an uncommon opportunity due to their limited numbers and efforts to conceal them.
Unlike conventional missile launchers, mobile Shahed launch vehicles can be dispersed and repositioned quickly, making them more difficult to detect and target. Their destruction therefore represents not only the loss of expensive equipment but also a disruption to russia's ability to conduct drone attacks from that particular area.
