Ukrainian Armor (part of NAUDI) doubled its armored vehicle production this year compared to last year, according to the company's CEO Vladyslav Belbas. Meanwhile, mortar production remained roughly unchanged, at over a thousand units per year.

The head of Ukrainian Armor shared this information in an interview with delo.ua. Belbas emphasizes that mortar production has stayed at the same level for two reasons: limited demand and the fact that the company has already reached its maximum production capacity.

"This is a philosophical question: all production capacities can be increased with proper, advance financing. We could produce much more, but we lack funding," Vladyslav Belbas notes. According to him, funding and bureaucratic hurdles remain key problems for Ukraine's defense industry.
When it comes to armored vehicle production, Ukrainian Armor continues to steadily increase its output. At the end of last year, reports indicated that Novator vehicle production had tripled compared to 2023, with deliveries to the Defense Forces of Ukraine arriving ahead of schedule. From February 2022 to September this year, more than a thousand of these vehicles were delivered.

Belbas notes that this year the Varta-2 armored vehicle was completed and codified, and several new Novator variants were unveiled, transforming it into a multi-purpose platform.
Moreover, the head of the company notes that foreign buyers are currently showing interest in the Varta and Novator armored vehicles, as they offer a competitive price compared to Western counterparts.
