The evacuation is needed so that Ukrainian forces have a complete discretion to push the russia occupiers out of Kherson

Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk asked the residents of southern Ukrainian regions to evacuate to safe places, as the Ukrainian units are approaching Kherson, the biggest city occupied by russian invasion forces so far.

The official said the evacuation is necessary to unbind the hands of the Ukrainian military who are slowly but steady liberating small villages while approaching the city, and to minimize potential casualties among the civilian population. She called out to the citizens of occupied territories on air on Ukrainian TV, Defense Express reports.

"Our artillery has to work, because de-occupation includes the use of armed force, we all understand that," Vereshchuk explained.

The Center for Strategic Communications insists that in addition to the evacuation, the liberation operations require sufficient informational support, in other words, "the silence mode" when no one spreads any information about the actions of the Ukrainian military in the occupied territories, until those are revealed officially.

The Center warns that "dissemination of such information can disrupt a military operation, as it happened in Severodonetsk". At that time, public messages, shared in social media by civilians, partly hindered military operations in Severodonetsk, namely those associated with the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the city, according to the Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar.

"Because it harms the work of the Armed Forces, she explained. "It takes away the precious time they have – a day or two that could be otherwise used for their military plans and maneuvers under conditions of the military operation's non-publicity. For example, when leaving or entering the city, they simultaneously implement several tasks. And for the implementation, it is important to perform them in conditions of informational silence."
