Ukrainian marines from the 37th Brigade have successfully evacuated four wounded soldiers simultaneously using the Tor-800 unmanned ground vehicle, demonstrating the expanding role of robotic systems in combat casualty evacuation.
The Ukrainian Navy released footage of the operation on June 28, showing the remote-controlled platform navigating one of the most dangerous environments on the battlefield. The mission was carried out under constant threat from russian forces and required close coordination between multiple teams.

The evacuation route presented numerous hazards. Operators had to guide the Tor-800 system through mined terrain littered with anti-personnel "petal" mines while avoiding the persistent threat posed by russian FPV drones. Difficult logistics further complicated the operation, with every meter of the route carrying the risk of detection or attack.
Despite these challenges, the robotic platform successfully reached the wounded marines and transported all four casualties away from the front line. The operation was completed without exposing additional evacuation personnel to direct enemy fire, highlighting one of the key advantages of unmanned ground systems.
The Ukrainian Navy emphasized that technology alone does not ensure success. Behind every successful robotic mission are experienced UGV operators, evacuation teams, medical personnel, and commanders whose coordination enables complex rescue operations under combat conditions.
