Ukraine's SSU Alpha Unit Reports More Than 50,000 russian Troops Neutralized Since Start of 2026

The Alpha Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine says it has neutralized more than 50,000 russian troops during the first half of 2026, with nearly 1,300 additional casualties inflicted over the past week alone

Operators of the Alpha Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) have neutralized more than 50,000 russian troops during the first half of 2026.

The SSU released footage of the unit's combat operations on July 18.

Alpha operators continue to conduct both long-range precision strikes against russian military targets and daily operations to eliminate enemy personnel across the front line.

"The number of enemy casualties continues to grow every day. Over the past week alone, our special operators have taken nearly 1,300 more invaders out of action," the SSU said.

According to previously released and verified data from the SSU's Alpha Special Operations Center, the unit neutralized more than 5,500 russian troops in June 2026 alone.

"Our operators are not only maintaining a high level of effectiveness, they continue to expand their capabilities every month, particularly in unmanned systems and long-range strike operations. Every such result is our response to russia's terror against Ukraine and another contribution by the SSU toward implementing the strategy of forcing the aggressor into a just peace," said SSU Chief Yevhen Khmara.
