Ukraine's General Staff Confirms Strikes on russia's Syzran Oil Refinery and Seaport in Krasnodar Krai

As part of efforts to reduce the military and economic potential of the russian federation, on the night of December 5, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck infrastructure at the Temryuk seaport and the Syzran oil refinery

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In particular, the port handles shipments of general, liquid (including liquefied natural gas and chemicals), and bulk cargo. It is involved in supplying the russian occupation army.

A strike on the facility's territory was confirmed, after which a fire broke out. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.

In addition, the facilities of the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region of the russian federation were affected. The annual processing capacity of this refinery is between 7 and 8.9 million tons of oil. It is also involved in supplying the russian armed forces.

A UAV strike on the refinery's grounds was recorded, followed by a fire. According to preliminary information, one of the refinery's units was hit.

The results of the recent attack on the Saratov refinery have also been confirmed: the ELOU-AVT-6 crude oil distillation unit was damaged. As of early December 2025, the refinery has fully suspended crude oil distillation and is operating at less than 50% of its design capacity, with several key units completely shut down.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to take measures to undermine the military and economic potential of the russian occupiers and force russia to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine.

Earlier Defense Express reported that a drone strike had hit russia's high-capacity chemical facility.
