German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed, albeit indirectly, use of 155mm RCH 155 SPHs in Ukraine. This is first such public statement after months of information absence.
"Right there where you are now standing, ladies and gentlemen, stood, I believe, two years ago, first wheeled howitzer delivered to Ukraine," German defense department head stated, Hartpunkt writes. Minister also added: "Wheeled howitzer is very well received in Ukraine thanks to its capabilities."

Defense Express notes that on one hand such statement leaves certain ambiguity regarding fact of RCH 155 use by Ukrainian military at front. One can still say this involves first formally transferred system back in early 2025 and impressions of it.
On other hand, quite a few hints have accumulated specifically on this SPH's combat use. For example, in May 2026 at CANSEC 2026 arms exhibition, GDLS-Canada presented GRIZZLY LAV SPH as equipped with combat-proven AGM artillery module. It is precisely used on RCH 155.
Also worth mentioning KNDS Germany advisor Nicholas Drummond, who in early July 2026 reported on social media that Boxer RCH 155 can be considered combat-proven. He provided no details then, but given operator list, most likely this was specifically Ukraine.
Later Drummond added system reliably engages targets at 40 km range using standard 155mm ammunition. He noted two vehicles can conduct 16 shots in 60 seconds and leave position before adversary responds. However unknown whether such case actually occurred or this is only marketing.
Considering all this one can assume RCH 155 are already used in Ukraine. This is very good news, as first contract for these SPHs was signed back in 2022. In August 2025 it became known the problems with Kropyva were being resolved then, so several more months were needed for arrival. However after that no new information appeared.
Ukrainian military should receive 54 RCH 155 on Boxer wheeled AFV chassis and another 9 AiTO30 command vehicles. Also such systems were ordered by Germany and Britain, while KNDS presented new tracked version called LORAS with 58-caliber barrel, enabling firing over 60 km.
