Criminal Proceedings Opened After Dam Shelling In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and Power Station Strike In Kharkiv Oblast (Video)

The Security Service of Ukraine has opened a criminal investigation into the fact of russia’s missile strikes on the dam of the Karachuniv reservoir in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and athermal power station in Kharkiv Oblast

Proceedings are opened under Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the rules of war), as the Security Service of Ukraine states.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) investigators are collecting the appropriate evidence base to bring the guilty to justice. After all, the actions of the russians are nothing more than a war crime, notes Acting Head of SBU Vasyl Malyuk.

"The terrorist country is trying to create a humanitarian disaster and once again shows the world its true essence. Being unable to win on the battlefield, russia desperately strikes at civilian targets and critical infrastructure. The enemy believes that when the Ukrainian rivers burst their banks after the dams shelling, it will help them. In fact, such actions cause Ukrainians only additional rage.

On the instructions of the Acting Head of the SBU, groups of experienced SBU investigators and experts were sent to the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv Oblast to document russia’s crimes.
