russian occupiers left another evidence of war crimes in Donetsk region

Ukrainian journalists from ArmyInform identified who shelled an Orthodox cave monastery – the Sviatohirsk Lavra – in Donetsk region, Eastern Ukraine.

The religious facility came under fire multiple times, and was almost completely ruined by artillery strikes, as turned out, launched by 30th Artillery Brigade of the 36th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District of the russian federation.

The reporters came to this conclusion judging by the character of fortifications found in the Studenok village 10 km away straight from Sviatohirsk. They found casing from used 152mm artillery rounds and propelling charges to 203mm projectiles to the 2S7 "Pion" system, taken from the military base №55443 (storage of artillery rockets and shells, Kuzhenkino-2, Tver Oblast).

Also, there was ammunition with "Gosniimash" marking, which refers to the only russian manufacturer of ammunition for artillery systems of all calibers, both ground-based and "sea-based" variants.

This means two things. First, the russians once again carelessly left evidence of another war crime featuring the use of heavy artillery against civilian infrastructure.

Next, the russians not only try to buy 203mm ammunition of Soviet production but also establish their own manufacture of it in conditions of an all-out war against Ukraine.
