According to the video, this ammunition warehouse housed a significant amount of artillery ammunition and rockets for heavy MLRS. Taking into account the experience with the destruction of a similar base in the city of Khrustalnyi (former Krasnyi Luch) in the Luhansk region, most likely all ammunition was placed without observing minimum security measures and in the open air.

Defense Express notes that this is not the first attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on this ammunition depot, on June 25 the locals filmed several strikes, but they did not cause a cascade detonation of shells.

And in general, it was unknown until recently about the destruction of about ten ammunition depots and logistics bases in the rear of the russian army by Ukraine’s fighters. In particular, on July 3, one of the fuel and lubricant storage bases at the airfield near Melitopol was destroyed.
