That is according to a statement of the Command of the Ukrainian Air Force on its official page on Facebook.
"On the morning of October 8, in the Mykolaiv region, soldiers of a mobile fire group of the Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigade shot down a Shahed-136 kamikaze drone with an Utyos large-caliber machine gun," the statement said.

The command stressed that Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners will not stop until "they turn the Russian invaders in the Ukrainian sky into scrap metal."

The enemy actively uses UAVs of various types to conduct reconnaissance and carry out strikes. Last day, defenders of Ukraine shot down eight UAVs on different axes: five of the Orlan-10 type and three of the Shahed-136 type.
